You may have noticed the new logo at the top of the newsletter this week. We’re merging the St. Pete Scoop with our parent brand, Sunny St. Pete, to better fulfill our mission of celebrating the best of St. Pete and bringing the community together.

This newsletter is still our main focus, and the content will stay the same, but future emails will arrive in your inbox from Sunny St. Pete rather than St. Pete Scoop.

St. Pete is taking big steps to become even more walkable! The new Sidewalk Master Plan aims to fix disconnected paths and improve curb ramps to boost safety and livability across all our neighborhoods. The City is seeking input to decide which projects come first, with hybrid meetings slated for Spring 2026. In the meantime, take the survey below to help guide these future improvements.

Let’s watch a Florida Sleigh ride (boats decked bow to stern in LEDs). Holiday lighted boat parades are getting kicked off this Friday and extend through the next few weeks. Full event details are in the events section below, but here’s a quick rundown.

SKY: The last full supermoon of 2025 is tonight. Most commonly known as the Cold Moon, Native American tribes and European cultures have used other names including the Long Night Moon, Moon Before Yule, Snow Moon, Winter Maker Moon, or the Frost Exploding Trees Moon.
